The company turns code, collaboration, tickets, and agent runs into a ground truth view of the work.
The engineering dashboard was built for a world where code moved at the speed of human hands and one quarter looked much like the last. Agents ended that. The volume of engineering work has risen sharply, the constraint has moved from writing code to judging it, and the week’s important problem is often one nobody thought to put on a chart.
RadiantOps connects to the systems a team already uses and groups related activity into episodes of work: what changed, where it came from, who understood it, and how it compares with the team’s own history. It surfaces the episodes worth a leader’s attention and attaches the underlying changes, review comments and artifacts, so anything it raises can be checked.
Because agents now produce a large share of that work, the product marks which changes an agent wrote, what those changes cost, and how often they have to be redone.
“A team is not a percentile,” said Travis Kimmel, co-founder and CEO of RadiantOps. “Knowledge lives in particular people and moves between them along paths no benchmark can see. A slow review might mean a design flaw is surfacing, or an engineer is exercising careful stewardship, or someone is on leave. The difference matters, and you cannot recover it by making a more confident guess.”
Kimmel and Ben Thompson founded GitPrime in Durango in 2015, one of the first companies to measure engineering work from version control data. The Y Combinator alumni (W16 batch) sold the company to Pluralsight for $170 million in cash in 2019, and a generation of competitors followed into the category they opened.
“What changed is that implementation got cheap,” Kimmel said. “When an agent can produce the code quickly, the limiting work becomes deciding what should exist and what the organization is prepared to maintain. Traditional accounting often reads a day spent making those decisions as an empty day.”
RadiantOps will use the funding to grow the engineering team and put the product in front of more engineering organizations.
